Sally
Duffy was born in Charleston, SC in 1953. She graduated from the University of South Carolina
in 1975 with a BA in Psychology. She earned her MS in Clinical Psychology
from Eastern Kentucky University in 1979 and worked for several years in a
Rehabilitation Hospital in Louisville, KY. She returned to graduate school
and earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky in 1989 with joint training
in Medical Psychology at the Medical School. She then returned to her hometown for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in
Pain Management and Neuropsychology at the Medical University of South
Carolina. Dr. Duffy came to Charlotte in 1990 and is
licensed to practice in both North and South Carolina.
Dr.
Duffy is part of a group practice, Southpark Behavioral Medicine
Specialists, PA. The other member of the group is Patricia K. Boyer, MD who is
a Psychiatrist practicing Adult Psychiatry with a specialization in Geriatric
Psychiatry.
Dr. Duffy's
practice is primarily adults; adolescents are seen for anxiety disorders
and for help in coping with illness and medical issues.
She is available for presentations and
talks to your group or organization.
